Role Based Permissions

Each member of an organization has a role which determines what permissions they have. If your organization has a need for a role you don't see listed here please reach out to us at contact@rowansci.com.

User

The user role is the most limited in terms of permissions. After joining the organization the following attributes cannot be changed by the user:

  • Name
  • Username
  • Email
  • Password

These are managed by the organization admin(s) and owner.

Furthermore, users cannot delete their own account.

Admin

Note there can be multiple admins in an organization. Admins have broad permissions:

  • Granting and revoking admin status
  • Viewing and managing org billing
  • Adding & removing users to/from org
  • Viewing all user jobs (including those not in shared folder)
  • Changing user names, usernames, emails, and passwords
  • Setting user warnings and limits

Owner

There is one organization owner and the owner role has all the permissions of the admin and these additional permissions:

  • Deleting the organization
  • Reassigning the owner role
