Role-Based Permissions

Each member of an organization has a role which determines what permissions they have. If your organization has a need for a role you don't see listed here, please reach out to us at contact@rowansci.com.

User

The user role is the most limited in terms of permissions. After joining the organization the following attributes cannot be changed by the user:

  • Name
  • Username
  • Email
  • Password

These are managed by the organization admin(s) and owner.

Furthermore, users cannot delete their own account.

Admin

Note: there can be multiple admins in an organization. Admins have broad permissions:

  • Granting and revoking admin status
  • Viewing and managing organization billing
  • Adding & removing users to/from organization
  • Viewing all user jobs (including those not in shared folder)
  • Changing user names, usernames, emails, and passwords
  • Setting user warnings and limits

Owner

There is one organization owner and the owner role has all the permissions of the admin and these additional permissions:

  • Deleting the organization
  • Reassigning the owner role
