This section of Rowan's documentation is focused on walking through the practical steps required for you to start using Rowan's platform to make your research more efficient and effective.

Intro to Rowan

If you're new, start by watching our video introduction to the platform.

This video shows an earlier version of Rowan. In the current interface, logging in takes you to the projects page. Open a project by clicking its name to reach its home folder, where you can choose a workflow and browse existing calculations.

Projects, folders, and workflows

There are a few different objects that are useful to understand:

• Projects are top-level spaces that make it easy to organize and share your work. Each project has its own home folder.
• Folders live within projects and let you organize your workflows just like files on your computer.
• Workflows are the core of Rowan. Workflows run the requested computations and store the results. Workflows live within folders.
