Sharing Workflows

Workflows on Rowan can be shared by creating a public link, creating a temporary public link, or by sending a public link via email through Rowan. Workflows can also be shared just with Rowan so that our team can see your data without it being made public to the world.

To share a workflow, click on its name and select a sharing option from the dropdown.

Creating a Public URL

To make a workflow public and get a shareable link, start by selecting "Share" from the dropdown. A modal will appear showing several options and indicating whether your workflow is public or private. Click "Create public link" to make the calculation public.

This workflow can be shared via the generated URL or QR code. You can also create a custom URL if you want a more descriptive link to share.

To make the workflow private after previously making it public, navigate to the same menu and click "Make private."

Creating a Temporary URL

To create a temporary public link that automatically turns private after a set period of time, start by selecting "Share" from the dropdown. A modal will appear showing several options and indicating whether your workflow is public or private. Click the "Temporary share" tab, select an amount of time for the workflow to be publicly visible, and click "Create temporary link" to make the calculation public.

This workflow can be shared via the generated URL or QR code. The temporary share can be ended early by clicking "End temporary share" before it automatically unshares.

Sharing with Rowan

If you would like to share a workflow just with Rowan's support team and don't want to share your molecule publicly, you can create a link that can only be accessed by Rowan employees.

To do so, select "Share" from the dropdown. A modal will appear showing several options and indicating whether your workflow is public or private. Open the "Share with Rowan" tab and then click "Share with Rowan" to make the workflow visible to Rowan employees.

Once the link is visible to Rowan employees, the workflow can be shared via its URL or QR code. To make the workflow completely private again, click "Stop sharing with Rowan."

Sharing a Workflow via Email

Workflows can also be shared by selecting "Email to a friend" from the dropdown. You can send an email directly from Rowan, and your friend will receive an email from Rowan with your message and a link to view the workflow.

A Rowan account is not required to view the workflow.
